How to reach us:

Getting from Central Station to NRC
Take the yellow U3 line from Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) and get off at the third stop, which is Rödingsmarkt. Exit the station at the top end of the platform and walk along Rödingsmarkt street for approx. 80 metres to the corner of Kajen. Turn left; after approx. 50 metres you will find NRC on the left side.

Getting from the airport to NRC
Take the Airport Express Line 110 to Ohlsdorf station; then take the blue U1 train line to Kellinghusenstraße station; change to the yellow U3 train line to Rödingsmarkt station. Exit the station at the top end of the platform and walk along Rödingsmarkt street for approx. 80 metres to the corner of Kajen. Turn left; after approx. 50 metres you will find NRC on the left side.

The Jasper Airport Express departs every 15 minutes from the airport for Central Station. The journey takes approx. 25 minutes. From Central Station proceed as described above.

Arriving by car from the south
(coming from Bremen or Hanover)
A1 (Bremen) and A7 (Hanover): follow the signposts to the City; cross the Elbbrücken bridge over the River Elbe, and stay in the left lane; drive along Amsinckstraße and through the Deichtortunnel onto Ost-West-Straße. Once you leave the tunnel get into the left lane and turn off into Dovenfleet. Drive along the canal past Zippelhaus, Bei den Mühren and Hohe Brücke until you reach Kajen No. 2 on the corner of Deichstraße on the right side.

Arriving by car from the east
(coming from Berlin or Lübeck)
A 24 (Berlin) and A1 (Lübeck): at the Hamburg Ost junction continue along the A24 to the city centre. At Horner Kreisel roundabout follow the signposts for the City and turn off into Sievekingsallee. Continue along this street across Burgweide and Bürgerweide until you reach Berliner Tor station. Immediately after the railway bridge turn right into Spaldingstraße. Follow this street, drive through the Deichtortunnel onto Ost-West-Straße. Once you leave the tunnel get into the left lane and turn off into Dovenfleet. Drive along the canal past Zippelhaus, Bei den Mühren and Hohe Brücke until you reach Kajen No. 2 on the corner of Deichstraße on the right side.

Arriving by car from the north
(coming from Kiel or Elmshorn)
A7 (Kiel) and A23 (Elmshorn): at the Hamburg Nordwest junction continue on the A7 until you reach the Hamburg Bahrenfeld exit (last exit before the Elbtunnel); turn right towards the City and continue along this road (Behringstraße) for approx. 500 metres; at the big junction turn right into Hohenzollernring following the signposts for Hafen/ Landungsbrücken/ Innenstadt. At the T-junction turn left into Elbchaussee and continue along this road past Kloppstockstraße, Palmaille, Breite Straße, Fischmarkt, Hafenstraße and to Landungsbrücken. Continue along, keeping the train line on your left side until you reach Baumwall station. Keep to the right lane and turn into Kajen. After approx. 50 metres you’ll see NRC on the left on the corner of Deichstraße.
