Have you ever completed an internship, had a part-time job, worked abroad or been socially involved? Very good, we are also interested in that and it may set you apart from other applicants. Mention this in your curriculum vitae and if you have received a certificate or attestation, please attach it to your application.
"Please send your application in full." You're sure to have seen this sentence before, but what does it mean exactly? The following documents should be included in your application:
- cover letter, cover sheet (personal photo a plus!)
- tabulated CV / résumé
- copies of 2 most recent school references
- copies of certificates (from internships, jobs, stays abroad, etc.)
Please save all contents in one file (pdf,...) and sort them according to the above order if possible. You should also arrange your certificates chronologically, i.e. the more up-to-date the certificate is, the more interesting it is and should be placed directly behind the curriculum vitae.
The cover letter is the centerpiece of your application. It should have a simple structure and be headed with your contact details (name, address, telephone number and e-mail address). Our address should follow:
Nordmann, Rassmann GmbH
Human Resources, Organisation
State the trainee position and program start date in the subject heading. If you had any prior contact with NRC, mention that in the first sentence. Next, you should include your reasons for applying for the trainee position and why you think you are a good candidate. Talk about your goals and desires, emphasize your special skills and experience. Find a persuasive answer to this question: why do you want to pursue vocational training with Nordmann, Rassmann in particular? Close the letter with some final remarks and don't forget your signature! Also, keep in mind that the cover letter should be only one page long.
Your CV should have a clear tabular form and be no longer than two pages. It should contain the following information:
- Personal details (name, contact information)
- Education (schools attended, diplomas / degrees earned)
- Stays abroad
- Skills and qualifications (e.g. foreign languages, IT)
- Hobbies / personal interests
- Place and date of authorship
All information should be listed chronologically and without gaps, with the most recent events at the top of each section. The corresponding dates should also be detailed.
