Socially and environmentally responsible action is something we see as a matter of course. Taking care to promote occupational and transport safety – as well as environmental protection and product responsibility – are key pillars of our philosophy.

As a participant in the Responsible Care Programme supported by the German Verband Chemiehandel (VCH), we have been committed towards continually improving our performance in terms of safety, health and environmental protection since 1997. We set the standards high: not only do our headquarters in Hamburg and our subsidiaries have ISO 9001:2008 certification, but we also require this of our forwarding and warehousing agents.

At NRC and among our warehousing agents, the ESAD assessment (European Single Assessment Document) of the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) and European Federation of Chemical Distributors (FECC) has also been implemented.
